Of all the Commodores tracks that I haven't heard in a long long time is Zoom. So long in fact, that I didn't even recognize it by its title.
I was just sampling through a 1997 10 CD collection titled "The Complete Motown Anthology." Just when I thought I'd seen and heard it all
lately, this track pops up. Google says it's from the 1977 album, "The Commodores." Seems as though it was never released as a single, it sure got
a fair amount of airplay here.
Also noticed that the album version appears to be in excess of 6 minutes, so this shorter version might be a UK import version at 4:23. Google did say,
that it did end up on the UK singles charts, but mot here in the US.

"Zoom" hit the UK top 40 in 1978. The flip side of the 45 was "Too Hot Ta Trot."

There's rare unreleased tracks on that 10 disc set. It's
not your run of the mill overview and was limited.
