I've got a version that I believe to be the 45 edit. It runs the length you say and is from a Canadian CD "Magic Moments" on Quality. Can I be of further assistance?

has anyone tried to edit this down from it's 5:45 cd/lp counterpart to match the 3:33 45 version?

If he hasn't responded to you in the next day or so, I'll be happy to send you the copy he made for me (I'm at work right now and don't have access to my stuff). I can't say for sure if it's the actual 45--the edits seem right, just based on the one time I heard the 45 when it was lipsynched by the band on a schlocky 1976 variety show (no, my memory's not that great--the show reaired a few years ago and I took notice).
But give him a chance to respond before having me send it--he made the file.

My commercial 45 has a listed time of (3:33), but an actual time of (3:36). And a great job by David to alert us all to the existance of the 45v on CD on that "Magic Moments" import CD!

I believe the 45 edit will be on a future Eric Records CD release this Sept. (finally on a US disc).
