Pat, you'll want to update the database for Sam's 1964
#11 hit "Good Times" to say (stereo LP version).

David Clark alerted me awhile back to the 45 sounding
very different.

I just got through comparing the 45 to the common stereo
LP version. The mono 45 differs in these ways:

1. the mono mix has an electric rhythm guitar that is
missing from the stereo.
2. the mono has backing singers in the choruses, but the
stereo only has Sam's vocal double-tracked. Near the end
at the call-and-response "all night (all night)" the
stereo has Sam doing the response but the mono has the
backing singers instead.
3. the mono has hand-claps throughout.

I have no info on what was on the mono LP.

Good catch, David!

MM

I have the mono LP and it is the same version as what is found on the stereo LP.
