The database states that a number of CDs contain a rerecording
of Billy Vaughn's "Blue Hawaii". To my ears, the version on
CDs without this designation is not the 45 version either. The
differences tend to be subtle. For example, at (0:57), I hear
five drumbeats on the 45, but only two on Complete Pop
Instrumental Hits Of 1959 and Melody Of Love - The Best
Of Billy Vaughn.

Paul,
Do you have a dub of the 45? There's a couple of what may be 45 dubs on
YouTube, one from our friend AnotherProf, who recently has been dubbing
actual 45s, but he didn't start out that way. This particular post being from
2019 may or may not be from a 45.

I don't hear the two vs. five drumbeats on that one (maybe due to my aging
ears?).

The AnotherProf upload is the 45 version. To my rapidly aging
ears (which have been known to play tricks on me), the drums
starting at 0:56 sound different.

Sounds like the 'Prof's 45 has another drum track
overdubbed
over it upon a cursory listen...
