Does anyone know if the 3:43 promo 45 is merely an early fade?

The intro is cut in half (and I believe there may be an edit on the fade as well).

That's correct. In fact, the ending is looped not just edited.

Thanks a lot for the info. Looks like here's another 45 I need to track down...

Edit points for promo:

- Copy section from 3:41 to 3:47 of LP version, with the beginning and end points both on the word "fly"
- Remove audio 3:47 to the end of the song.
- Paste the clipboard back on the end of the song, and then paste it on the ending again so that you have looped it an additional two times.
- From 0:05 to 0:19, edit on snare.
- Perform fadeout over the last 10 seconds.
- Run time is 3:44.
