Just listening to Fontella Bass - Rescue Me on Vintage Music Vol. 8. Not
only is it missing reverb, but it is a remix.
Another remix is Chuck Berry - No Particular Place To Go on Vintage
Music Vol. 7. This remix is likely found on many other CDs too (but not
noted in the database).
Pat, I know it must be quite the task to pull every CD with a song such as
the above to determine which CDs contain the remix and which contain
the original. I know your database likes to track A LOT of detailed info
about songs (45/LP versioning, errors, differences, etc.), which of course
is what we all love about it.
I ask, are remixes such as these two songs important?
If the answer is yes, I (and likely others) can point out in their own
collection which CDs contain remixes. I know of a few more.

Just FYI - "Born To Be Wild" on Vol. 9 of the Vintage Music series is a remix. It's missing a few elements, like a particular guitar line in a portion of the song. And, it extends out further than the 45 or LP versions and comes to a cold ending! You most likely knew all that if you have the Vintage Music discs.
Point being: It's not surprising that there are a few remixes on those discs. I don't know how well they're documented, though, and that's the point of your post.
