the db states there is a difference between the 45 and lp
versions....what are the differences?...is it just an
edit....my commercial 45 issued as columbia states a run
time of 2:56 and does indeed run that length...this 45 run
time s/b added to the db...

Can anyone provide me with more specific editing instructions for this one please? I'd really like to recreate the 45 version if it's possible... cheers.

I only have the gray Columbia Hall of Fame reissue 45
(13-33108) as a reference. Comparing this to a CD copy
of Blonde on Blonde, the 45 cuts from the *end* of the
first chorus to the bridge (i.e., removing the second
verse and chorus), then fades early.

The cut seems to fall on the downbeat of the second beat
of the 8-beat break after the first verse, from 1:09 to
2:10. My 45 is pretty noisy, so the actual cut may be
off by a beat or two, but this looks right visually.

The edited track fades from 2:42 to 2:56, during the
harmonica coda.
