The only single format in which the song "Superman (It's Not Easy)" by Five For Fighting was commercially released in the US was as a 7-inch single. The label of the 45 does not indicate a version, but I've noticed at least a couple of mix differences between the 45 and LP versions. The 45 does not have the opening cymbal/hi-hat taps that are on the LP version. On the 45 they don't start until the piano starts. Also, once they start on the 45 they are in the centre of the stereo spectrum, whereas they are towards the right on the LP version.
I have the 45 version on a Canadian promo CD single on which it is called the "Radio Mix".

Unfortunately, the database doesn't have any notations to
indicate a 45 vs LP version, so has this 45 version ever
made to any CD's?

To my knowledge, it's on the Playlist The Very Best of Five For Fighting
https://us.7digital.com/artist/five-for-fighting/release/pla ylist-the-very-best-of-five-for-fighting-1691839?h=3&d=1
Further, there is a CD promo for it in the US in addition to the 7 inch vinyl:

Both appear to be the hit version, not the LP version.

Already sent to you Ed. I don't have the actual 45 vinyl, Aaron might be your best bet.

I'm still wondering if the actual 45 version is any different. Does anyone have a dub of it?
It should match the version on CD single released in the US:

Aaron do you have this promo? If so is there any difference between this and the Bob Clearmountain Mix and the one on the playlist GH?
