the cassingle issued as reprise 18787 contains the "album version" of the song from the "unplugged" cd.....the db states that the version on "clapton chronicles:the best of clapton" contains the 45 version........this is incorrect.........the cassingle contains audience applause for 0:02 or so and also contains ec saying "see if you can spot this one".......the applause and the ec intro is NOT on the "chronicles" cd..........so the entry should be amended to read "neither 45 nor lp version"....

also.....the fade out is different on the cassingle as opposed to the cd single version...........even though they both have the same catalog number they have different fade outs......very, very frustrating....

Ed, it's possible that the Chronicles version could be a promo version. I don't recall hearing the spoken intro played on the radio in '92, but I could be wrong. I'm quite sure my TM Century disc is missing the intro, but I'll have to check when I get home.

the cassingle fades out to the 4:36 mark.....the cd single fades out to the 4:41 mark.....i don't know how long the full "unplugged" version runs....the cd single and the cassingle version contain the applause and spoken intro.....the only difference is in the fade out....the cd single and cassingle have the same catalog number, though they're not the same version...aaron....i guess it's possible the chronicles cd contains the promo version, it still shouldn't be qualified as the 45 version in the db, because it's not.....

Ed, my TM Century CD does NOT have the spoken intro (starts with the guitar), and it fades out to (4:24). It's possible that TM Century created this version themselves. It's also possible that THIS is the promo version. Anyone?
In either case, the version on Chronicles does not match what I have here, as that one runs (4:35), according to the database.

since the cassette single and CD single formats have been mentioned, the 7" also has the album mix and it has a listed time of 4:40
