Were there any single or dj edits of this song? I can't recall weather my local top-40s played the album version at the time, but I would think that they must have at least skipped the spoken intro. Any insights?

I know I've heard the song on the radio without the spoken intro before, but I don't know if this was based on an actual DJ edit, or simply the result of the DJ cueing the song right at the point where the music begins. I have a hunch one of our board's resident promo single experts can help clue us in!

My Epic white label vinyl dj copy has the full length version (4:53) on each side.

I only remember us receiving one promo CD single for this song into the station, ESK 1473, and it only has one track, the listed and actual (4:53) version. We did, however, cue past the :10 narration snippet at the start in 1989, as Todd correctly suspected.
