Pat,
Just discovered something none of us ever realized while I was looking at an import CD single I have of "More Than That." The disc has several mixes, one of them being "radio mix" and one being "LP version". So I listened to both mixes, which are virtually the same length, and the 'radio mix' is indeed slightly remixed. You'll definitely notice the different instrumental background on the radio version right after the first line "I can see that you’ve been crying".
Based on the CDs on which I have the song, I can verify that Now 8 has the radio mix. I don't know which mix is on the Chapter One greatest hits compilation CD.

Timewise, the version on The Hits - Chapter One appears to match the 'special radio mix' I have from RPM Top Hits. Just listening to bits and pieces of both the radio mix and from The Hits, I detect no difference in what I listened to.

The radio mix does appear on the Now 8 and Chapter One cd's. The version charted by Billboard in the U.S. is the "album cut" or LP version.

My promo CD single for this (JDJ-42893-2RE) lists 2 cuts, but cut 2 was simply the inclusion of a :13 second, very-common-for-2001-promo-CD-singles "Call Out Research Hook." Cut 1, the "Special Radio Mix", has a listed time of (3:44) and an actual time of (3:42). But the "RE" suffix for my promo CD single certainly implies that there may have been more than one promo CD single released for this. By 2001, when this song was out, I wasn't keeping up with the actual promo CD singles QUITE as diligently as I had been in past years, as we'd begun to use those "Promo Only" CDs more and more around the station (more convenient), but I still hope this info may prove helpful.
