Hi everyone.
I'm trying to figure out the timing of the original single version of Allan Sherman's Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh (New 1964 Version) which I used to own on 45 but no longer have. The copy of the song I currently have is on the My Son, The Box CD set and it runs 3:17 and seems painfully slow to me compared to the single. The single is listed as running 2:58. Could it be the track was sped up this significantly for single release? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

According to the database, there are four versions of this song on the box set. The one that runs 2:48 on that set is apparently the hit version (and appears on all other CD releases). The copy I have is on Fun Rock and only runs 2:43. Does anyone know the actual 45 run time?

I was specifically referring to the 1964 version, which was a sequel to the 1963 version. It peaked below the Top 40 and Whitburn shows a label time of 2:58. I'm convinced the version on the box is the same take, but I'm trying to figure out if the single was just sped up or if it was edited in some way.
