I found the mono mix version of the U.S. single version of this song on CD. Interesting enough I was reading customer reviews and someone was complaining that they used this version instead of the longer stereo lp version. I, of course, bought it because they used this version.

It's an Edsel release double CD Invictus' Greatest Hits/Hot Wax Greatest Hits. Both with lots of bonus tracks but few rarities that I've heard so far.

It times out at 2:46

I could hear no noticeable differences from a fold-down I did of Rhino's Can You Dig It version other than it is much punchier. My fold-down sounds muddy compared to this.

Thanks for the tip, Indy500! It's always much appreciated when fellow collectors pass along tips regarding rare items on import CDs that have never surfaced on stateside CD releases.

It isn't on this CD but there is also a U.K. single edit of "Somebody's Been Sleeping."

I've never heard that one.

54 years later, I discovered that the 8th Day song, She's
Not Just Another Woman, was actually first released as
being recorded by 100 Proof Aged In Soul. When the song was
re-released as being by the 8th Day, it's actually
the very same recording! Mind blown. lol.

I think Motown did a similar thing with The Marvelettes. Perhaps that's where H-D-H got the idea.
