My only promo CD is an officially released Columbia CD-R with no catalog number. It contains only 1-track, which is the "Squeaky Clean Edit." There is no printed time, but the actual time is 4:03. This edit removes quite a few risque lyrics that the clean version on the commercial CD single does not.
(As a side note, the database has a typo and lists the artist as "QB's Finest" instead of "QB Finest.")
As far as the 3:57 version goes, there are two different recordings and two different pressings of the full-length explicit album. (I don't own either one, so I can't give matrix numbers.) The 3:57 version is the original album version and contains different verses. In fact, I'm not sure if Nas is even featured on this version. The longer one you have, Ed, is the "Remix," and is found on the commercial CD single in both a clean and dirty version. At least some copies of the full-length CD contain the "Remix," and it runs 4:57 on those copies.
