With Halloween coming, I'm again examining Siouxsie and The Banshees' "Peek-A-Boo." It missed the top 40 by 13 spots, but hit #26 on 12" singles sales, #14 on Dance Club Play, and went all the way to #1 on Modern Rock Tracks.
Siouxsie & The Banshees' label seems determined to label the 3:10 length version as the "7-inch version," as if there is a difference between the LP version and the single version.
I found somebody on YouTube playing it from the LP, and somebody else playing it from the 45 RPM single. I'm at a loss to find ANY difference between the two (other than speed, which could be caused by any number of things).
To hopefully put this to bed: can anyone tell me if they've ever been able to identify any difference between the "single" version of Peek-A-Boo and the "album" version? I don't believe differences exist.

I remember playing the heck out of this one in my last semester at college in the fall of
1988. AFAIR, there was no difference between single and album.
