although not in the db because of it's low billboard chart position of number 38 in late 1989, my commercial cassingle issued as capitol 44436 states that the version is the "edit" version with no stated run time but runs 4:20 and is an edit of the full length 5:19 cd/lp version......interestingly enough, is that the promo cd single version which has the radio edit on it and runs 4:17 isn't the same as the cassingles' "edit" version....jim, do you have any details about the promo cd single i cite?....and, aaron...thanks again for all the great edits you've provided to me in the past.....i'm forever indebted....

I don't have information on the radio promo, but I created the (cassette) single edit from the LP version.
I removed 2:53.8 to 3:10.3, during the instrumental bridge.
I then cut from an almost identical "...can't, you, feel it beat..." at 3:49.6 (4:06.1 LP) to 4:23.3 (4:39.8 LP).
I ended by fading out to 4:20, starting around 4:12 or so.
It's no mystery why this song only peaked at #38, since it's one of the few freestyle songs about cardiac arrhythmia.
