Gee, this post was only started 11 years ago, and the last post was eight years ago... uh, /BUMP? ;-)
I think every copy I have of this is the UK remix; am I correct, though, that this video uses the USA "hit" mix?

That's correct. That video (and it is a cool video!) uses the only version that was released in the US. It's the original mix of the song.
The original mix tanked in the UK, it was remixed, and the remix became the hit version in the UK.
