Much confusion over this song, so I'm revisiting this thread.
I have what is listed as "Original Mix" on my Top Hits USA recurrents disc on the following CDs:- Spotlight On Hits Vol. 8 (runs 3:30)
- Living In The '90s (Razor & Tie; runs 3:30; digitally exactly 1.3 dB quieter than Spotlight On Hits)
- Top Hits USA RH15 (runs 3:24 and fades a few seconds earlier than above two)
These versions of the "Original Mix" all run 105.94 BPM, all have the words "ho" at 0:43, "ass" at 1:15, "ho" at 1:19 and "bitch" at 2:25.
I have what is listed as "Album Version" on a Tommy Boy sampler on the following CDs:- Loaded (PolyTel Canada, runs 3:37)
- Pump Up The Jam! (Realm, 2002; runs 3:36)
- Millennium Hip Hop Party (Rhino, 1999; runs 3:35; TAKEN FROM VINYL! AVOID THIS CD!)
- Tommy Boy's Greatest Beats Vol. 2 (runs 3:36; mastered too loud and clips severely)
These versions of the "Album Version" all run a little faster at 106.90 BPM (except the bad Rhino CD), and all have the same naughty words listed above.
You can tell the "album version" from the "original mix" because the album version has rat-a-tat backwards drum sounds after the word "shotgun" at 1:31, and has a beat at 3:06 where all the instrumentation drops out; both of these are absent from the "original mix".
There is also one version that starts with the "Album Version" and edits out the naughty words:- Hitmakers Vol. 70 - May 29, 1992 (runs 3:37; clips a lot, runs 106.91 BPM)
I would guess that this version may have been done internally by Hitmakers, since they did so with Guns N' Roses' "November Rain" around the same time. No way to check, though, since I don't have the promo CD single for this song.

I know of several different versions of this song. Here are a few notes off the top of my head:
- "Master Mix" (aka dirty LP version) is probably the most common and contains dirty lyrics
- Clean LP Version (also on cassette single; this is a censored version of the "Master Mix")
- "Original Mix" (on commercial CD single; has dirty lyrics and not as many overdubs when compared to "Master Mix"; one of the promo CDs has this mix, too, but I don't know if it's clean or not; same promo CD has "Master Mix" but I do not know if it is clean or not)
- "Pete Rock Remix" (dirty version on full-length album; clean album reverses the dirty words; contains a short verse by Pete Rock)
- "Blood Stain Remix" (on 12" promo and different promo CD than mentioned above; same as "Pete Rock Remix" but censored by muting the lyrics, rather then reversing them like on the clean album)
- "Pete Rock Remix" on 12" promo (My vinyl is packed at the moment, but I recall this version not having Pete Rock's rap on it. I believe it is also censored.)

It might be helpful to know which CDs in the database contain the "Master Mix" and whic ones contain the "Original Mix." Ron has already started to list them above, and he notes how to tell the difference. Thanks, Ron!

I just obtained a promo CD single for "Jump Around," so I will post the details of both promo CDs that I have:
TBCD 532
1. Master Mix (listed & actual 3:37)
2. Original Mix (listed & actual 3:30)
Both mixes on this CD contain censored lyrics.
TBCD 539 (Remixes)
1. Blood Stain Remix (listed & actual 3:56)
2. Instrumental (listed & actual 3:56)
The remix is also censored on this CD, and the Instrumental is of the remix.

Aaron, on your dj cd single TBCD 532 can you give some additional detail as to whether these versions are censored or uncensored?

Pat, you must have not noticed my comment just below the track list and times; they are both censored.
As a side note, the TM Century HitDisc containing "Jump Around" uses the uncensored Original Mix, and so does Ron's Top Hits USA. I am a bit surprised by this, since they are both promotional radio compilations that typically source their material from promo CDs.
