Here are the details for the other Seduction promo CD singles.
Jim posted the following in another thread regarding "(You're My One And
Only) True Love":
My commercial 45 has both a listed and actual time of (3:46), with no
version notation at all on the label, and deadwax info of "A&M-VV-
01433-A-SP".
I also own a promo CD single for this song (CD 17833), and it has the
following:
1-Summer Of '89 Radio Mix (listed & actual 4:16)
2-Soft Sell Radio Mix (listed & actual 3:58)
I have one promo CD single for "Could This Be Love" (A&M 75021 8082 2)
1. Radio Edit 1 (listed 4:37; actual 4:36)
2. Radio Edit 2 (listed & actual 4:38)
3. Quiet Storm Mix (listed & actual 6:20)
I have two promo CD singles for "Heartbeat":
CD17937
1. The Clivilles/Cole Radio Mix (listed 4:55; actual 4:56)
2. The Cole/Clivilles LP Version (listed 7:01; actual 7:02)
CD18020
1. The Clivilles & Cole Pop Edit (listed 3:29; actual 3:28)
2. The Clivilles & Cole Radio Mix (listed & actual 4:56)
3. The Clivilles & Cole Club Mix (listed & actual 7:26)

Thanks Aaron! Any chance you can describe the difference between the Pop Edit and the Radio Mix? I have the vinyl 45 which I picked up at a flea market last week. The radio mix is not the radio mix on the CD17937 promo cd. The pop edit is the radio mix on the cd (mislabeled).

In case anyone needs this info I'll post the listed times

A-side:
1. Club Mix 7:47
2. Dub Mix 5:23
B-side:
1. Freedon's Here (with RC/DC) 6:40
2. Underground Mix 5:04
3. Hot Mix 3:47

I have all the Seduction promos, if anyone wants the full details, including their final single, "Breakdown".
Also, and this has bugged me for years, which version of "(You're My One And Only) True Love" was the hit single version, the one that peaked at No. 23 on the Hot 100?
Was it the original house version which features Martha Wash and Freedom Williams (huge hit on the Club Play chart), or the Summer Of '89 Radio Mix, which is a
completely different song and features Michelle Visage?

Here in Tampa, FL, the hit version was the "Soft
Sell Radio Mix" [A&M Records – CD 17833] (the version
without the "woah-oh" & Michelle Visage on vocals). I
believe the Orlando, FL CHRs preferred that mix as well.
I can't speak for the other areas of the U.S.

I just listened to the club version and I've never heard it before. Because of the Joel Whitburn books, I always assumed that Martha Wash sang on the Summer of '89 Radio Mix! Wow. I'm glad I got that cleared up. :)

They're essentially the same, but the Pop Edit was chopped quite a bit more for Airplay. PM me if you need a copy for preview.

Aaron, I can help you with that. The proper name of the 3:46 is the "The Hot 7" Mix". The only place to get it on CD format is on the German CD Maxi. Track 1 features Michelle
Visage and Freedom Williams. Track 2 features Martha Wash (this was the hit version played on the clubs, at this point Seduction was a just a Clivillés + Cole studio project).
Track 3 features Michelle Visage and Freedom Williams.
Seduction "(You're My One And Only) True Love" Vendetta Records / A&M Records – 390 458-2 / 0 82839 0458-2 7 - Germany CD Maxi Single
1. (You're My One And Only) True Love [Club Mix] 7:47
2. (You're My One And Only) True Love [New York House Mix 2] 6:40
3. (You're My One And Only) True Love [The Hot 7" Mix] 3:47

I purchased a second copy of the "Heartbeat" vinyl 45 by mistake last
week. Turns out this copy does indeed have the 3:29 version on it! So
this means there were two commercial 45's issued on this release.

This thread reminded me how the 3:29 edit has a dramatic
pitch increase -- but only for most of the track, before
the instrumental ending abruptly drops back to the
original pitch. Do we know whether the 4:56 version
runs at the faster pitch or the original album speed? I
seem to recall the 4:56 version being on the cassingle
but haven't heard that since it was new.

I had never noticed the speed difference on the 3:29 edit, great
catch! Just checked the 4:56 version and it definitely runs at the
slower album version speed throughout.

By the way, compared to its album version, the "Two To Make It
Right" 45 version (7" remix) is also sped up noticeably, this one
throughout its entire duration.

As far as "Could This Be Love," is the Radio Edit 1 version the same as the
Radio Mix 1 version?

"Two to make it right" single remix was not included on
this disc: Tune up-Rock 40 #19.
https://www.discogs.com/release/17713930-Various-Tune-Up-
Rock-40-19
And to top it off that disc is a laser rot disc made by
Discovery Systems! One to avoid! Happy diggin!
