"A Kick Up the Eighties series" from Old Gold (1990-1993)
Anyone know about these? The tray art indicates "original hit recording"
Trying to determine if any contain "rare" 45 versions. Hoping someone like Ron :) has info.
Thanks

They are not re-recordings but I know Old Gold was
issuing 12 inch soul/disco singles after they were taken
out of print and a few in my circle, complained about the
quality.
They did some various artists compilations years later
and 3 song singles of "recent gold". Lots of errors on
the inserts and some tracks taken from vinyl although
they appear licensed. Some of it to my ears sounded like
what Unidisc would later put out. I only have one
compilation put out by them as much of this stuff was
later reissued on US comps/Ben Liebrand's Grand 12 Inch
series:

Hear for yourself: Hope this helps.
