Just reviewed the cd Totally Hits 2005 and it included a 3:36 version of "Karma" by Alicia Keys. Does anyone have the 12" single that can verify this is perhaps the "45 version"?

The leadoff track for the commercial 12" is the 4:06 (label states 4:12) album version. The 3:36 version is the "radio version" found on the CD promo single (label states 3:39). This radio version is NOT on the 12" single. The other 3 versions on the 12" are "instrumental" - "KrucialKeys DJ Mix" - "Acapella"

Been proofing my 2005 and anyone remember that mashup of the instrumental of Superstition from Wonder and this song. It got a huge amount of airplay in New York at the time. It is also faster paced and runs about 3:49.

At least in my market the slow radio edit on the promo was never played. Anyone remember what they heard in their area back then?

In Chicago, I only heard 'Karmastition'. A great mix that turned a banal recording into something interesting.

Was disappointed, but not surprised, they couldn't get clearance for a commercial release.
