My Promo Only CD has a shorter version of "She Bangs" that runs 4:02. TM Century lists both an "English Edit" and a "Spanish Edit" in their database. There is currently no mention of a shorter version in the database.

i have a promo cd single for the ricky martin song 'she
bangs' issued as csk 16368 and contains the below tracks...

1-english edit (4:02 listed; 3:44 actual)
2-interview (no listed time; 10:08 actual)
3-english edit (4:02 listed; 3:51 actual)

the two edits are sandwiched by an interview segment which
overlaps both edits.....really a waste of a cd; if you ask
me......

The only single format in which this song was commercially released in the US was a 7-inch single (Columbia 38-79514), which has the "English Edit" on the A-side and the "Spanish Edit" on the B-side.

Both music videos for "She Bangs" (the English and
Spanish-language versions) use the shorter edits of
their respective versions appearing on the promo CD
single Jimct mentioned.

Jim's promo cd single has the English edit with a run time
of 4:03 while Ed's run time for the English edit is 3:44.
Does anyone know what accounts for the 19 second
difference?

Here is the 7-inch single you're talking about.

Ed stated the interview overlaps both edits so I assume the shorter run time is on account of the interview audio
beginning over the last few seconds of the track.
