The database has two different CDs with different run times and no notation next to them. Hopefully my promo CD details will help shed some light. The disc I have is an official Epic Records promo CD-R, but it does not have a catalog number:
1. Rap Version (actual 3:07)
2. No Rap Version (actual 2:48)
Also, when the song first came out, the label wanted to rush it to our station to "world premiere" it. The quickest way was to send it online, and that version is the one we always played. It had a slightly different intro than the version that made the album. Instead of the entire opening sample, it only had the first part:
"Children growing, women producing, men go working, some go stealing" (and then the song started)
It wasn't an edit, because the sample overlapped the opening beats, but I only ever heard this unique intro version on our station.
