There are three mixes of this song that I'm aware of (not counting any dance remixes that might be floating around):

Album version (3:30)
Remix featuring Kendrick Lamar (3:18)
Remix - No Rap (3:17)

My local top 40 is playing the album version. The "Remix - No Rap" version is similar to the album version, but there are some subtle differences. For example, during the first verse, the album version has a keyboard in the mix during the first four lines, while the remix contains only the drum track with no other instrumentation.

I've been thinking about posting a question on this song for a while now. What is the most commonly played version on radio? Billboard lists the Kendrick Lamar version on the Hot 100, but I figure that has more to do with sales than airplay.

On the Mainstream Top 40 chart, they also list the Kendrick Lamar version, but on Adult Top 40, it's just listed as by her. At Mediabase, both corresponding charts list just her. And from personal experience, I've never heard the Kendrick Lamar version on the radio, though I mostly listen to Sirius radio and not my local Top 40 station.

How about around the country. Is the Kendrick Lamar version getting any airplay at all?

The Kendrick Lamar remix is the only version I've heard
on CHRs, including KIIS/LA, Z100/NY, and American Top
40.

I was actually surprised when I heard the original
version on the Hot AC stations here.

I've heard the Kendrick Lamar versions coming out of CHR stations in Boston and while in Pennsylvania on vacation a few weeks ago. My CHR station in NH plays the Kendrick Version.

In south Florida it's the remix with Kendrick Lamar that Y-100 (WHYI) plays. BTW, this station's format has been CHR since it's inception over four decades ago (even if the format went by another name previously).

A local Top 40 station plays a version of this song
(with Kendrick Lamar) that has a remixed intro. It
doesn't start out with an acapella intro like the copy I
have.

Could this be a custom edit?

Where can the no rap version be found? Was there a physical promo
CD pressed? Promo Only Pool does not service the no rap version.

I have a d/l that purports to be the album version. No rap
there.

Actually I should have clarified that I am looking for the remix version
without the rap.

I found the rapless remix version here:
http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/taylor-swift-bad-blood-remi x/

I have looked all over but cannot find an official release on this version
which IMO is the best version.

To Hykker:

Eliminate the space between "i & x" in "remix".

It's the same version as aaronk posted (TM Studios has serviced it also).

Just a FYI for anyone collecting this track that I had to get the digital single from the UK which times in at 3:20. The NOW CD that this song is on cuts off at 3:16 abruptly, which is not the full length of the release single.

While it states 3:16 in the Whitburn Annual for 2015 as the single running time, the actual running time is 3:18 as Aaron pointed out and I can confirm it. The TM release ends abruptly at the same 3:16 and any USA digital versions are 2 seconds too short. If anyone needs it let me know.

That is incorrect. The time shown in the Pop Annual is
(3:18).

My apologies you are right. I thought it said 3:16. Thats what 3 hours of sleep gets you! I think the 3:16 was more the fact that NOW cut 2 seconds off of it. How do they get away with that!!!

I can confirm a couple of details regarding Taylor Swift featuring Kendrick Lamar's "Bad Blood". First, the version featured on Taylor Swift's 1989 CD (Big Machine Records 0500A) running 3:31 is the LP version without Kendrick Lamar. (I can't possibly be the only one here who owns a copy of this CD, can I? 😳)

Second, the download single version is the remix version featuring Kendrick Lamar. This is the one that appears on the Now 56 CD, albeit with a severely truncated fadeout. (By the way, there is a long decay at the tail end of this song on both the single and the album versions. Thus, when listening at a higher than normal volume, I am able to detect an extra second or two longer of audio for both versions, which likely accounts for my slightly longer actual run times than what others here have reported.

Both database CDs containing "Bad Blood" need to be updated with the appropriate comments.

By the way, I recall primarily hearing the album version and possibly the "Remix - No Rap" version at the time on my local Pittsburgh Top 40 CHR station.

My music service in 2015 was TM's PrimeCuts. They issued
the Remix - No Rap running 3:18.

Aaron, do you think the existing "LP version" comment for the 1989 CD will suffice, or should we consider expanding it to say something more like: (LP version, which does not feature Kendrick Lamar) just to be more clear?

The Remix - No Rap has no Kendrick Lamar in the song.
