pat
the cassingle runs 4:34 and is noticeably sped-up compared to the full length cd version.....this should be noted in the db......

All CDs in the database to date containing "Club at the End of the Street" should probably also have the comment: (LP speed and length).

I have the promo CD Single for this song, (MCA CD45-18303) which runs 4:34 and would seem to match edtop40's cassingle version , but it doesn't sound
sped up to me. I didn't check to make sure, but I think the promo may be the album version faded early. Is it safe to assume the true 45 version has
never appeared anywhere on CD?

The single version does sound sped up to me. (The "can't sit still" at 4:21 on the single version is not heard until 4:26 on the album version.) I don't have the US promo CD. The European commercial CD single has the 45 speed and length.

Do you have the European CD single, Paul? The only listing on Discogs for Europe is a vinyl 7" single. If you have it, what is the B-Side? Just asking so I know what
to look for if by chance they have it on eBay or any other site.

It's a three-track UK/Europe CD Single (Phonogram 878 129-2). The other two tracks are "Whispers" and "I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That".

Thanks, Paul. I see it's available on eBay. I'll get around to buying it eventually.
