The actual commercial 45 run time of James Brown's "Get Up, Get into It, Get Involved Pt. 1" is 3:30. (Thanks to Jim for once again passing along the run time info. The printed record label time is 3:32.) I post this because database CD appearances of "Pt. 1" run from 3:21 to 3:30.

Pat, I notice the song's mono CD appearances contain the comment "45 mix of Parts 1 & 2". That said, shouldn't stereo CD entries also have some reference to being the "LP mix"?

As noted in the database, the James Brown Singles Volume 7: 1970-1972 CD set on Hip-O Select/Polydor B0012728 contains a "reverb version" of "Get up, Get into It, Get Involved Pt. 1" in addition to the original hit mix. Since this CD series is supposed to bring to light every James Brown single released during his King Records era, does this mean that some 45 pressings of "Get up, Get into it, Get Involved Pt. 1" contained the original hit mix, while other 45 pressings that contained the reverb version? Or was it perhaps the promo 45 release that exclusively featured the reverb version?

bringing this to the top, as no-one answered. Perhaps this is similar to "Soul
Power" where it was the promo that had the reverb.
