It's never been on CD. I've been looking for years.

P.S. The single edits of "Wrap Her Up" and "Who Wears These Shoes" have never been issued on CD, either.

Same goes for "Victim of Love" and "Bite Your Lip" (which was an edit of the extended dance remix), and, I believe, "Levon."

I've always wondered that. I've never heard those three in mono before. Your Song... it's been on SO MANY CDs, it wouldn't surprise me if it had been issued on CD in mono, at some point, somewhere. I've never seen it, though.

Thanks for the info.

Any way to edit the LP version of "Empty Garden" to get the 45 (my memories of the 45 are hazy--it seemed like any station that played the song here played the full-length version)?

Thanks.

Yes, you can edit the LP version to make the 45 version. You'll need to hack out the section from (3:03) to (3:38) on the snare hit after the word "name." Then with what you have left, chop out the section from (3:38) to (4:05) also on the snare hit.

Although the database says that DJ and commercial copies ran (3:59), the actual running time is (4:06).

Mega thanks for the info. My home computer's out of commission for a few days but when it's repaired, I'll see if I can nail this edit down.

Pat:

As Aaron pointed out earlier in this thread, you might want to revise the comments for "Empty Garden (Hey, Hey Johnnie)" in the database to indicate that DJ and commercial copies have an actual run time of 4:06, not 3:59 as stated on the record label.

Ah, so it's not an early fade, it's an edit. I've always wondered -- thanks for that. I do own the 45, but I've never gotten around to figuring it out.

If anyone has an 45 edit of "Wrap Her Up", I'd appreciate someone forwarding it to me. Thanks

"wrap her up" is just an early fade...not an edit...

The 45 edit of "Empty Garden" has yet to appear on CD as far as I know.
