hey all,
in the database, it says the Rareties CD features the 12" single version of "Miss You", but at 7:31, it would clock in at a minute less than my vinyl 12". Does anyone have the CD who can verify the length of the track? If it is correct in the database, then the version on the CD is an edit of the 12".

The version on the "Rarities" cd is an edit of the full length 12" single.

Thanks Pat.
I picked up the CD yesterday at Best Buy, and the NY Mix of "Harlem
Shuffle" is ALSO an edit of the 12" version!
My last hope for this CD is that "Mixed Emotions" is not an edit of the 12"
version, because it is the only song of the three for which I do not have
the vinyl 12". Does anyone have the original 12" who can tell me if it runs
6:10 or if this is indeed an edit on rareties?

My label of the 12" "Harlem Shuffle" claims 6:35.

Yes. Harlem Shuffle 12" had I think a UK mix and a NY mix. On rareties,
you get an edit of the NY mix. What I'm looking for is the running time of
the 12" vinyl version of Mixed Emotions.

I found a listing online for the CD3 of "Mixed Emotions", and according to
the track list, the 12" version is indeed 6:10, which makes this the only
12" version on Rareties that is NOT an edit.

Budaniel: My extended version of "Mixed Emotions", called "Chris Kimsey's 12" Mix", DOES have both a listed and actual time of (6:10), FYI.

My label of the 12" promo of "Mixed Emotions" claims 6:10 for the 'Chris Kimsey's 12" Mix' also.

The version of "Miss You on the Rarities CD is not only edited, but it is also remixed. In addition, the segment from 6:11 - 6:19 is different than what is on the vinyl 12".
The Singles 1971 - 2006 has a full 8:36 version, but it is also remixed.
The only cd appearance of the true 12" single I am aware of was on a bonus disc with Flashpoint called Rolling Stones Collectibles. It came out in the early 1990s.
