"Candy Girl" peaked at #46 on the Hot 100 in 1983. The 45 is labeled "Vocal" on the A-side, and it runs an actual 3:48. The version on Greatest Hits runs 3:53 and is probably the LP version/length. The 45 fades about :04 sooner than the aforementioned CD, which is the only difference.
There is a version on the import Now 1983 CD that runs 3:34. This version loops one of the last choruses and fades earlier. I'm guessing this is the UK 45 version.

Since I can't find a 45 online, when does the fade start?

The fade is from 3:37 to 3:48.
