Currently, there are no comments in the 10th edition of T40MOCD regarding the multiple versions of Roxette's "Listen to Your Heart" floating around out there, so I thought I'd help furnish some details...
The version running 5:27 on the Look Sharp! CD (EMI 91098) is the U.S. 45 and LP version.
The version running 5:12 on the CDs Don't Bore Us, Get to the Chorus - Greatest Hits (Edel 18205), Moments in Love (SBK 31181), and The Ballad Hits (Roxette Recordings/Capitol 42798) is actually the Swedish 45 version. This also became the official commercial single version all over Europe.
There were three promo CD singles issued for "Listen to Your Heart" in the U.S. (I have CD-R copies of EMI DPRO 4399 and EMI DPRO 04417 below and have included the actual run times for those DJ CD singles. I don't have a copy of EMI DPRO 4408, so I've instead listed the printed run time for that promo disc.):

I have another vinyl 45 dj copy of "Listen To Your Heart" which is 7PRO-04422 which has the remix short version on one side listed as running (4:20) but it actually runs (4:30), and the remix on the other side with a stated running time of (4:50) (I will assume the real time is (4:53).
Now I think the (5:12) version was issued in the U.S. as a 3" cd single (I do not have this 3" cd single - a reader notified me of one being offered on Ebay late last year so I know one exists. The mailing address of the seller was New Jersey so I assume this is a U.S. release he was offering but I cannot say for certain that this was a U.S. copy - can anyone contribute more here?)

I know of at least two 3" CD singles that are reported to contain the 5:12 version of "Listen to Your Heart", but these discs are Australian and Japanese imports. You can view the details at the following web address:

This web page is a very comprehensive listing of commercial and promo singles that have been made available all over the globe for "Listen to Your Heart" in all formats. You'd think if a U.S. 3" CD single existed, it would be listed on this page. At any rate, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a U.S. 3" CD single pressing and will let everyone know if I find one.

I'm 99% sure it was a used import, Pat... I can't recall ever seeing a domestic CD single for this, and it is not listed in the Discography of US Issued CD3 Titles:

There is at least one thing missing from that list -- Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" maxi-CD3, so I'm sure it's not 100% complete. But I was very "into" CD3 releases in 1989, and I can't recall ever seeing one. I bought the import single back in the early '90s, so I must have believed there was never a domestic release. And if the Ebay ad didn't specifically say it was a US release, I'd be skeptical.

Ok, need some help on this one as I'm properly trying to label the files I have on this song.
I have a version, running 4:26, that has a sax replacing the guitar.
I also have a version, running 4:30, that has the guitar instead of the sax.
Which version is which?

The version with the sax is the AC edit.
I don't see it noted, but the edited version (with the guitar) can not be created from the album version. There is a "whoa oh oh" in the intro that is not on the album version.

OK, the A/C edit also has an "oooh" on the intro.
The 4:30 version I have does not have the "whoa oh oh" on the intro, so i must not be the true edited version, rather someone's recreation?

Unless there were multiple pressings of any of the above promo CD singles, it should be noted that the Remix Short Version and Edited Version are not the same remix.
The Edited Version is just that--a short edit of the album mix. It can be easily identified by the fact that it does not contain the "ooh" at the 12 second mark.
The Remix Short Version does contain the "ooh" at 12 seconds.

Not that this is totally relevant, but this song sparked a
memory. When MTV first played the video, Adam Curry,
noting the resemblance during the choruses to a hit two
years earlier, cracked, "They obviously listened to a lot
of Heart before putting this song together."

There is also a promo 45 that contains the A/C version
on both sides. EMI 7PRO-04409. Rather unusual to have 2
different promo 45s in late 1989...

Trying to find out the true run time of the A/C mix with
the sax instead of the guitar.
I have a dub of the A/C edit from a TM Century disc that
runs 4:25 with an 'ooh' at :12 in. The listed time for
the A/C edit on discogs is 4:30, not 4:33 as indicated
in the database.
Does anyone have the actual promo CD single that share
the actual run time?

I have it, but it's going to be a bit before I'll be able to retrieve the disc and
time it. Looking at the Discogs scans, there is no listed time on the disc or
insert.

From my experience with TM's Prime Cuts as a subscriber
for the last 13 years, I'm not aware of TM fading songs
out earlier than what's on the original promo file. The
champion of early fades was RPM Top Hits U.S.A.

Up above it says the Remix Short Version and the Edited Version(both run 4:30) are not the same version because the Edited Version is edited from the LP Version which does not feature the ooh at :12 in. This is stated in the database as well. Then I pulled out my Hard To Find 45’s On CD Volume 16 and the first cut on that cd is called the DJ edited version in the database, but this version contains the ooh at :12 seconds in.
Is this marked wrong, or perhaps in the beginning of the chat board discussion on this, the original thinking was right that both the edited version and the Remix Short Version are the exact same.

I believe the hit version that top 40 radio played was the Remix Short
Version
running 4:30. Is that what is on the Eric disc?

The version on the Eric Cd is the remix short version. We jumped thru some hoops to get that because it was never previously released commercially.
