For those who have any interest:
The only place I could find the new remix that is #1 and the original version that was #1 the first week in lossless is at:

Now what confuses me is that looking at the lyrics, there isn't an explicit label on Qobuz for the original (and for the remix since it is being serviced to country it's been slightly reworked for that venue to be clean). So can anyone enlighten me if there is a downloadable explicit version of this song? The only words I see that might be bleeped are "booty" and "boobies."
In this wonderful new age of download only music(oh CD single, i miss you so)I figure someone here works at radio and can clarify if a bleeped clean version exists...(and after awhile this song does get stuck in your head...)

They're both on Tidal, too. But there is only one
version for purchase there, too, as there is nothing
really dirty in the song. Maybe Radio Disney created a
"super clean" version with "booty" and "boobies"
censored, but I don't know.

Promo Only initially released a 'Clean No Lean Edit" that
muted lean and muted part of boobies. The remix, featuring
Billy Ray Cyrus, does not mute those parts so I edited
that section from the clean edit into the remix.
I wish TM Studios were still in the music subscription
business. They would have done an Xtra Clean Edit for
sure.

Update: Promo Only issued a "Promo Only Remix Clean". It's
dated 4/9/19 in POOL. I'm not sure if I missed it a couple
weeks back or if it was just added. My guess is that's
it's a custom edit and not from the label.

Doesn't look like WW1's Hot Country format is playing the
song. I just logged into the affiliate website and
checked
their playlists for April and it's not listed.
Song wasn't on their download page either, if there's a
"clean" version, that's what will be there (though
sometimes it's a house edit).
As far as missing CD singles goes, to me not really.
Storage space is getting to be a concern here, and so
many of them over the last 20 years were just CD-Rs
anyway, so no big loss.

Mediabase doesn't list the song on the Country chart
either even though the remix is with Billy Ray Cyrus. All
of the airplay spins now are CHR, Rhythmic and Urban.

Well place your bets on if it gets to 17 weeks or not and is the champ. Right now you have a three way tie with One Sweet Day and Despacito.
If I recall pre-Hot 100 only one song had 17 weeks in the 1940's.
If Bad Guy's remix with Justin could not shake it from the top spot not much hope it will stop at 16.
Anyone want to call it?

Based on the numbers, "Old Town Road" is almost certain to
get that 17th week. It's probably going to take a hot new
song (or remix of a current hit) to dethrone it.

I call 18. Then I call a few #1 hits in quick succession to make up for the backlog of songs that could not make it.
I think I read in an article the song has kept the most #2's from being #1.
1) Taylor Swift's and Brandon Urie's Me (May 11, 2019)
2) Billie Ellish's Bad Guy (June 8, 2019-June 22, 2019, July 13, 2019-Present)
3) Shawn Mendes' If I Can't Have You (May 18, 2019)
4) Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's I Don't Care (May 25, 2019 and June 1, 2019)
5) Post Malone's Wow (April 27 and May 4, 2019)
6) Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello's Senorita (July 6, 2019)
7) Taylor Swift You Need To Calm Down (June 29, 2019)
I think that is the record is it not Paul for songs that could not get to #1 eventually. That is 7, also considering that Sunflower could not go back up to #1 for 2 more weeks as well.
I still remember being pissed in 1996 when my favorite song Missing by Everything But The Girl was blocked by One Sweet Day's massive run. Whitney's Exhale though deserved better than to be stuck at 10 weeks at #2....

You got me. I will add Senorita to the original post.
Also Exhale was #1 on November 25, 1995 and finally made it to #1 in between Mariah's Fantasy and One Sweet Day. However it was #2 for 10 weeks! If it didnt make it that week to #1, it would have set the record for the most weeks at #2, it was that popular of a song. To prevent 6 songs from becoming a #1 hit shows how massive Old Town Road is. Even Despacito and One Sweet Day could not do that.
Missing by EBTG hit #2 for 1 week, as it couldn't hit the top spot that week of February 17, 1996.

Songs that could not hit #1 during One Sweet Day's 16 week run.
1) Missing by EBTG
2) Not Gonna Cry by Mary J. Blige
3) Sittin Up In My Room by Brandy
4) Exhale by Whitney (Special note that it did hit #1, but it was at #2 for 11 weeks, depriving it of a chance at more #1 weeks). Exhale would have been Whitney's second biggest hit if not for One Sweet Day.
Songs that could not hit #1 during Despacito's 16 week run
1) Wild Thoughts By DJ Khalid and Rhianna (#2 for 7 weeks)
2) That's What I Like out of #1 for 5 weeks at #2
3) I'm The One By DJ Khalid out of #1 for 4 weeks at #2
So keeping 6 potential #1's at #2 is a lot tougher then Despacito's keeping songs that were already #1's out of the top spot. Same for Exhale, which already hit #1 in 1995.
So this adds a bit of a different perspective how big Old Town Road is.

Very interesting chart facts! I was not aware that
"Exhale" spent 10 weeks at No. 2! Wow. I suppose that I
never really paid attention. At least it did manage to
sneak a single week in at No. 1. "One Sweet Day" was
huge, although I think that it has been somewhat
forgotten over time in favor of "Always Be My Baby", the
third single from "Daydream".

I fixed it Bellenger, after chart examination it was 11 weeks...oh well. Also added You Need To Calm Down by Taylor which also stalled at #2 and could not go to #1...

I think I remember getting tired pretty quickly of the ballad, as most people did. It didnt have a cool remix version like Fantasy did (hell that Fantasy hook came from Tom Tom Club's Genius of Love)or that retro 80s beat.
Notice the 3 biggest hits had mass appeal to cross over:
1) One Sweet Day had Boyz II Men, a huge R & B group and pop artist domination with two huge #1's already and Mariah Carey, who was at the peak of her vocal abilities and had chart power and a powerful #1 album.
2) Despacito had the spanish market, Justin hitting #1 a lot the last year before the song with his solo album and english/spanish crossover appeal. Same market that brought Macarena so much success it made 14 weeks. Without Justin, the song could not have crossed over and did not even make top 40.
3) Old Town Road had R &B and Country by adding Billy Ray Cyrus to the remix to help propel it to stay at #1. I don't think it would be lasting so long if Cyrus had not added himself to the remix. While it may not have charted as a country hit (anyone know if the remix did?) it still has a country feel. It also has remixes which have kept it at #1 unlike the other two, which just had the most popular version.

11 weeks for "Exhale"? Wow. So, was that a record then
for most weeks at No. 2? "I Need to Calm Down" had
crossed my mind, but I was thinking that it was climbing
up the Hot 100 (forgot that it had hit No. 2 already).
So, that's yet another one kept from No. 1. Incredible.
I've been reading that Lil Nas X has been trying to get
more people to do a remix of "Old Town Road", including
Mariah Carey and Dolly Parton.

I wouldn't be surprised if "Old Town Road" is #1 for 40 weeks+. I know that sounds pretty outlandish, but consider these #1s on other Billboard charts in the past year or so (some right now):
Dance - "Happier" Marshmello & Bastille - #1 (44 weeks and counting)
Christian - "You Say" Lauren Daigle - #1 (52 weeks and counting)
Adult Contemporary - "Girls Like You" Maroon 5 - #1 (32 weeks and counting)
Country - "Body Like a Back Road" Sam Hunt - #1 (34 weeks)
Country - "Meant To Be" Florida-Georgia Line & Bebe Rexha - #1 (50 weeks)
Rock - "Heathens" twenty one pilots - #1 (30 weeks)
-Am I forgetting any others?
These types of long running #1s were quite infrequent prior to 2 years ago.
I've never understood why things are so different now with these massively long #1s. Is it that these songs really got played so much longer (44 weeks, 52 weeks), or is this more a result of Billboard's revised tabulations in the last couple years? So, whatever's going on now, I don't see why it can't happen to the Hot 100 chart tabulations, too - even though it's a potpourri/combination chart of many things.

It won't happen because at some point the next hot song will take hold. It always does on the Hot 100.
Despacito could not go to a 17th week because Look What You Made Me Do vaulted to #1 in its first full chart week, as I think it was #77 the week before.
One Sweet Day could not go to a 17th week because Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion overtook it at #1, and it stayed there for another 5 weeks after that.
It just takes one hot song these days to knock a song back down to #2. I agree the chart weeks at #1 are insane but it is the song you least expect to climb up the charts that usually vaults into the #1 spot and keeps it once the massive chart run is over...

Does anyone who follows the Billboard charts know why in the past couple years so many charts (Country, Rock, AC, Dance, Christian...) have had #1s for 30-52 weeks, when this hardly ever happened before this period? Is it due to streaming? a chart rule change at Billboard?
As I look at the charts every Tuesday morning, I'd be more shocked if, on the Dance chart, Marshmello's "Happier" wasn't at #1 than if it was. 44 weeks so far - I don't know why - and I really don't expect it to fall soon. And I don't think it's really more popular than other big dance songs from the past 10 (or 20) years.
