If you're looking to make the 45 edit from the album version, you're in luck! It's two easy cuts... not even an early fade required:
#1 - Take out 3:30 to 3:48 (1st downbeat to "woah.")
In your newly edited file, go to 4:05.
#2 - Take out 4:05 to 4:19, jumping on the word "I."
Viola! One 7" edit. I ended up with a 4:18 file which makes me wonder if the album version is slightly slower than the 45.
(FYI, pitching it up 0.96% matched the copy of the 45 edit that I have... which may or may not be accurate to the original 7" vinyl.)
...Finding the 12" inch, though... you're on your own! :)

I actually discovered the 45 version on Place On Earth - The Greatest Hits. It runs 4:14, and there's also a bonus CD which includes the 12" version and other remixes.

The LP version (4:53 or so) runs at 103.4 BPM. (Recorded with a live drummer playing to a click track.)
The 45 version (4:18 or so) runs a little faster at 104.4 BPM.
A 1% correction is about right.
FYI - The promo 50-CD set for radio, The A-List, attempts to recreate the 45 edit without pitching it up. It, too, runs at 103.4 BPM.

Is it the US 45 mix? On the other thread someone points out it's the UK version
and really just an album version. I tried to edit the song which I have the album
version on her Heaven is a place on earth US release but the edit points above
don't match the album version from the cd I have.

Per the database the 45 version has appeared on four US compact disc releases.
