I see there's a "neither" version listed for Bobby Brown's "Humpin' Around," which runs (5:21). I know there was a "Radio Edit" on the maxi-CD that has a listed time of (5:21)---it is track 2. Most likely, that's what's on New Edition Solo Hits.

Chances are the "Radio Edit" appears on promo CD single copies as well. Anybody have the track listing info for that DJ CD release?

Todd: My promo CD single for this (MCA5P-2135) features:
1-Rap Version (listed and actual 4:21)
2-Non-Rap Version (listed and actual 4:21) **
3-Humpstrumental (listed 4:21; actual 4:20)

** version we played on my station, according to notes made in 1992.

Thanks, Jim! It's interesting to me that a version called the "Radio Edit" is nowhere to be found on the promo CD single release (unless there's a different DJ pressing floating around out there). I mean, why call something a "Radio Edit" if it's not even being serviced to DJs?

Nonetheless, it looks like Aaron may have solved one of those pesky "neither the 45 or LP version" mysteries. It's always good to see that!

my commercial cassingle issued as mca 54342 states the version on the A-side is the "rap version" with no stated run time but runs 4:20.

While I don't think there was a different promo CD, it appears the Radio Edit was serviced to DJs...on the promo 12" vinyl!

Just for the heck of it, I browsed my friend Tom's master promo CD single inventory. He does own a 2nd promo, MCA5P-2350, featuring 9 tracks, but there is no room on the file for any other details on it. I just had lunch with Tom yesterday, but the next time I speak with him, I will ask him for more details, and the possible inclusion of a "Radio Edit" (if no one else finds them in the meantime, of course!)

I can verify New Edition solo hits has the "Radio edit" of
the Extended Club Version as does the commercial cd single.
