When I'd posted on this site about 3 or 4 days ago, I hadn't checked into the site for about 10 days (a rarity for me - usually I check once a day). So there was a lot to respond to, and I posted quite a bit. But after getting to approximately my 8th post, I got some kind of error message saying (and I don't remember the exact wording, but): "Spam. You are posting too many posts at one time".
This may be more of a Pat question, but what is the maximum # of posts we can post in a short period of time, before we get that error message? And once we do, how long do we have to wait until we can post again? (e.g. 24 hours? a few hours?)

It might have occurred because you unknowingly submitted the same
post twice in a very short time period (i.e. within seconds). I've had it
happen before, and it's usually when I accidentally hit "post reply"
twice. AFAIK, there is no limit to the # of posts you can make, but
the system thinks it's spam if two posts are made within seconds of
each other.

Oh ok. So maybe I hit "Submit" twice in a row, like double-clicking in it. I hadn't thought of that. Glad there's not, like, a limit of 8 per day :)
