Database notes that DJ copies were 3:09 and commercial copies were all 3:39. However there was also a 3:39 DJ copy. M/S. I believe that came first, but because the intro was so long and bizzarre the second 3:09 DJ copy (mine says reservice on it) was sent out cutting down the intro time.
So the database should read DJ copies were 3:09 and 3:39, commercial copies were all 3:39.

Does anyone have edits points to bring the 3:39 version down to 3:09?

I know the intro just cuts off the first 29.8 seconds or so. Starts with a piano note at that point. It also seems to fade out to 3:06 and not 3:09.

Thanks for the info about the intro, Bill. Much nicer to get to the vocal intro quicker with the 3:06 version.

i just obtained the promo 45 for this song and if you edit
off the piano intro by 0:30 you can effectively re-create
the dj edit...in addition you'll need to fade the ending
from 2:58 to 3:06.......using the 3:39 single version my
resulting file runs 3:06
