PAT BENATAR - "Shadows Of The Night"
The actual commercial 45 running time is (3:43), the listed time is "3:40" on the record label (Chrysalis CHS 2647)

The single version sounds like it is simply an early fade of the LP length.
There are no edits & it doesn't sound to my ears like a remix.

Guessing all the 45 lengths listed in the database
simply fade out 3 seconds earlier than the actual 45?

you guys guesses are correct....the 45 version is a fade of
the full length 4:18 lp version.....if you fade for 0:21
from 3:22 to 3:43 of the 4:18 version, you will effectively
re-create the true commercial 45 version....my guess is
whomever did the fades for the cd compilations that fade to
3:40 just took the stated label run time as gospel....which
is incorrect...
