"Some Kind Of Love" was the flip side of my 45 purchased in the Western Pa area.
I noticed how much better "People Are Strange" sounded via ITunes, than did "Light My Fire".
Hopefully, "Touch Me" will be released.
Although wasn't that one released as a stereo single?

"Some Kind Of Love" is the more common of the two B-sides, and my original copy had it, too. Interestingly enough, when "Crimson And Clover" was reissued in 1973 on the ABC/Dunhill Goldies 45 series, "(I'm) Taken" was on its B-side.
Yes, the "Touch Me" 45 was stereo.

Also, "Unknown Soldier" is a unique 45 mix, so hopefully that one will be provided as well.
Of course, some that missed the top 40 had unique mixes, too, such as "You Make Me Real." I can't remember, is the 45 of "Wishful Sinful" a different mix? I haven't played it in a long time...it's definitely in stereo but I thought there some differences from the LP version.
It's certainly nice that these are being made available as digital downloads, but it would be even better if the Doors camp would finally consent to a CD release of the original 45 versions. Surely the fact that we're seeing some of these made available for the first time in decades indicates some openness to allowing them to be released on full-fledged CD.

Like Touch Me, the Wishful Sinful stock 45 is a different stereo mix than the LP version. There was also a Wishful Sinful mono DJ 45 but it sounds to me like it was simply summed from the stereo 45.

There is also a mono DJ 45 for Touch Me, which I once saw selling on ebay for a whole lot more money than i'd be willing to spend on it. I have not heard it, but i'd be more than willing to bet it is just a fold-down of the stereo 45 version.

I'm guessing Rhino isn't doing any more--nothing is being listed on Amazon's site as being available in the future. Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Such a shame.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get the point of them to begin with. Is it a "two for the price of one with a label scan"? I can't imagine most buyers care today about a 45 B side that few people cared about back in the day. As some have mentioned here, these are not even necessarily the correct 45 versions.
Maybe it was one of those ideas that sounded good on paper but just didn't fly.

I think his first name is Brian, can't recall his last name offhand....my brain is failing me in my young age.

Looks like I am wrong. More are coming out next week. Among them:
Doctor My Eyes - Jackson Browne
What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy) - Information Society
Ride Captain Ride - Blues Image
Foolish Beat - Debbie Gibson
(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin

Foolish Beat, right on! I've been wanting that B-side instrumental FOREVER. It was never issued on CD.
Ride Captain Ride does say "single version," but of course, it's not -- it's stereo.

Well, I bought "Foolish Beat" and the mono "Doctor My Eyes" Digital 45s tonight on iTunes, and found something strange and interesting: all of Britney Spears's past singles, whether they were released commercial in the US or not, have been released as two-two track "Digital 45s." Every one of them, going back to "Baby One More Time," with the original cover art. They appear to be iTunes exclusives. Weird, huh?
They didn't get the correct B-sides on most of the handful that were commercially released in the U.S., though, except for "Baby One More Time."

Well promo 45s were mono/stereo, so technically they're correct (assuming it really is the single version).

After doing a bunch of Xmas singles last month, some more (non-Xmas) came out today. In my view nothing all that noteworthy, except perhaps the 45 of Chaka Khan's "Through The Fire" (not sure if that's available elsewhere). YMMV.
At least they're still coming out, which is a good thing.

Mm, I think the mono single mix of "Vehicle" and its B-side is notable, only because the Rhino Handmade CD where they had previously been issued is long out of print. But I got a copy from the library, so I don't really need to download them.

By the way, I did call Rhino customer service today and complain once again about dozens of digital albums and digital singles saying they're "physical only -- not available." I was connected to a woman who sounded like she was from India, so I will bet you they are, like so many companies, farming out their customer service to India. (At least she did speak perfect English, though with an Indian accent.)
She asked what specific titles I was referring to, and looked one of them up and said, "Oh, no, that shouldn't be like that."
She said she would turn the matter over to a manager and someone would contact me by email or phone within 48 hours... so we'll see about that.

I'm not as good at deciphering mono vs. stereo, so that's why that completely went by me. Good catch nonetheless.

Is this just an edit, or an actual mix difference?
