April Wine - Sign Of The Gypsy Queen - I believe can be
recreated. It's a tricky crossfade that edits out a minute
or so. Perhaps, Aaron or Mark or Gene might want to take a
stab at it.

Update on 1980.

Here is what I find and what is still missing:

230 Dann Rogers - Looks Like Love Again 2:35

There is a digital version of this on Qobuz (sounds horrible) that runs 7 seconds short and fades Wayyyy to early. Actual running time of the 45/LP is 2:37. The dub I have is 2 seconds short on the fade out.

275 Doolittle Band - Who Were You Thinkin' Of 2:43

Not on CD. Not available digitally either.

287 Little River Band - It's Not A Wonder [LIVE] 3:46

The 45 version can be made off the LP version, which is available digitally. This is no longer on my list

297 Peter Mclan - Solitaire 4:18

Not available on CD or digitally.

301 Whitesnake - Fool For Your Loving 3:30 45 Promo, 4:05 45 version can be faded early from LP to match 45

303 Captain and Tennille - Happy Together 4:30

The LP version cannot be used to make the 45 version. There is a promo that has a 3:22. Another case not on CD.

307 Turley Richard - You Might Need somebody 3:34

Found this track digitally off Tidal.

332 Bar-Kays - Today Is The Day 3:47

The 45 is not the LP which is available. Not on CD or digital.

352 Robbin Thompson Band - Brite Eyes 4:06

LP is available digitally but according to promojunkie the 45 is a different mix.

362 Yipes- Darlin 2:25

Not on CD or digital anywhere.

370 Allan Carlke - Slipstream (Short) 3:49

Have the LP version digitally and the 45 can be made from it.

373 Meco - Love Theme From Shogun (Mariko's Theme) 2:55

Not on CD or digital.

381 Jim Kirk and the TM Singers - Voice of Freedom 3:17

Not on CD or digital.

382 Hotel - Half Moon Silver 3:48

Was able to find it on Tidal.

383 Mary MacGregor - Dancin Like Lovers 3:11

I have a vinyl LP version. Definitely did not make CD or digital. Can be recreated from the LP.

403 Randy Vanwarmer - Whatever You Decide 3:34

Only have the 5:12 LP version. Without a 45 dub can't know if it can be recreated

416 Cretones - Real Love 3:09

Not on CD or digital.

417 Tony Joe White - I Get Off On It 3:05

Not on CD or digital.

424 Vaughan Mason - Bounce Rock Skate Roll Part 1 (3:30)

Found on Tidal.

426 Willis The Guard and Vigorish - Merry Christmas in the NFL 3:32

Not on CD or digital.

433 Engelbert Humperdinck - Love's Only Love 3:55

Not on CD or digital.

442 April Wine - I Like To Rock 3:29

Not on CD or digital even though the LP is. 45 can be made from the LP version.

447 Dava Valery - I Don't Want To Be Lonely 3:23

Not on CD or digital.

449 John Cougar Mellencamp - Small Paradise 3:40

It does not match the LP version

452 Cugini - Let Me Sleep Alone 3:37
453 Pendulum - Gypsy Spirit 3:51
458 Jim Hurt - I Love Women 3:43

None of the above made CD or digital.

459 Frankie Valli And Chris Forde - Where Did We Go Wrong 3:35

On the expensive $400 box set.

460 Cindy Bullens - Trust Me 3:29

LP version on Tidal sounds like a horrible vinyl dub. Never made CD or digital

461 Four Seasons - Spend The Night In Love 3:58

On the expensive $400 box set.

465 Eric Troyer - Mirage 2:43
466 Wayne Massey - One Life To Live 3:22
467 RCR- Scandal 3:26
469 John Denver - Dancing With The Mountains 3:21

None of the above made CD or digital.

If anyone knows of any other source for any of these let me know. Thanks!

The 4:05 45 version of "Fool for Your Loving" by Whitesnake
just removes the synth intro of the LP version, at least
from what I hear using the vinyl dub in the 1980 archive as
reference. The LP version runs about 4:16. Removing the 10
second synth intro brings it to about 4:06.

April Wine's "I Like to Rock" 45 version is also a vinyl
dub in the 1980 archive. Sounds like it is edited down from
the LP version to my ears.

above and included in the 2/1 Frankie Valli is the word/
Heaven above me Collectors Choice CD from from 2008, is
there any difference between LP and single versions?
Longer fade maybe? single is 3.34 long vs album 3:42.

The 45 specifically says it is a "special edited mix."
Without hearing the 45 no way to tell. I don't think it
ever appeared on a CD or a comp yet.

I have the cd Queen "The Complete Works Vol. 2", where it
includes the version "1984 Single Remix" (4:19) and "1984
US Promo Edit" (4:02), I can send it in wa format if you
want to compare.

Any idea how they created the 1980 DJ 45 edit?

I created this edit for my own library but only saved it as
an mp3. I should revisit this in flac.

No idea. Haven't come across it anywhere,
unfortunately.

The CDs were created by an Argentine fan, they are
bootleg, and I bought them a few years ago, these CDs
"The Complete Works" in vol. 1, 2 & 3, the sound is very
good, it contains very interesting material, with
versions that are difficult to find on the web, on other
CDs released, even those released by the band itself.

To Richie (PopArchivist):

Could you double check "It's Not A Wonder" ?

The 45 that I heard has no "Thank you" on the intro
applause fade-in.

The LP does.

Were you able to recreate it somehow??

1980 #416 Cretones 'Real Love' was released on Varese Serabande 302 067 455 8 (2016). States on the
booklet 3:12. Don't know if the promo is a different mix. My 45 RPM stock copy says 3:15 and is actually
3:11. -Bill.

Thanks to promojunkie we were able to recreate the 45 and the promo 45. He might be able to tell you the edit points...

Re: 230 Dann Rogers - Looks Like Love Again 2:35
There is a digital version of this on Qobuz (sounds horrible)>

I spoke to Dann Rogers about this song before he ever self-released this
version that you're now finding on digital sites. He said he went to the exact
spot where the master tape was supposedly stored, but it was no longer
there. His theory is that Kenny Rogers (his cousin) purposely had this tape
removed from its location, as it was stored in a studio that Kenny Rogers
used. I can't say if that's true or not but he did say that Kenny tried to
sabotage his cousin's career. Kenny felt Dann's voice was too close to his (it
does almost sound the same!) and apparently did some stuff to make sure
"Looks Like Love Again" didn't become a hit.

So that's why you'll never find a master tape version of this song on CD. My
cleaned vinyl version I did is better than what's out there. I wish I knew what
Dann's version would sound like the one time I spoke to him - I would have
just given him a copy to use - because he was talking about releasing his
album from his owne cleaned-up album.
