Pat, both my commercial 45 and the "short version" of my promo 45 have a listed time of (3:28) and an actual time of (3:29). The "long version" side of my promo 45 has a listed time of (5:22), but an actual time of (5:19). I have no knowledge of the (3:15) DJ 45 length version that is currently notated in the database for this song, but I imagine you own one. Is (3:15) its listed time, actual time, or both? Is that (3:15) version on both sides of the promo, or is it another long/short DJ 45 pairing?

My copy of that second DJ 45 has the 3:28 length listed on one side and 3:15 New Edit on the other. The new edit simply starts the song later, at the drum hit on the intro, cutting off the lone guitar intro. So it's the 3:28 edit with the intro cut down.
Run time is 3:17.

For those looking to make the stock 45 edit from the 5:22 LP version:
Cut 1:51.4 to 2:49.0 (the splice is on the snare in between two, repeated "don't ever..." lines. It's a bit of a jump cut, since the other side of the edit has a fuller sound.
Then fade from around 3:10 to 3:29 (4:08 to 4:27 on the LP version).
