My copy of the 8th Edition of Pat's book says that "Hard Habit To Break" is in it's LP Version on all CDs listed. The 45 that I've seen online has a printed run time of 4:43, the same time as the LP Version. Does anyone know what the difference is between the LP and 45, and is the 45 Version available on a CD somewhere?

Here is another example of me grabbing the dj 45, comparing it to the version on cd and assuming that the commercial 45 is the same as the dj 45 which in this case it is not. The dj 45 runs 3:58 and the commercial 45's ran 4:43 so my error, I will remove the LP version comment.

If anyone has the short promo 45 version of "Hard Habit To Break," I'd love to hear a copy.

My promo copy actually runs 4:06, but has a listed time of 3:58.

Isn't the short promo an early fade?

Yes, John was kind enough to send over the dub, and it is an early fade of the full-length 45/LP. The fade starts at 3:54 and goes to 4:06.
Abagon also emailed me a copy of the Japanese promo, and it really does run 3:58. It's also an early fade. Thanks for allowing me to hear those promo 45s!

Revisiting this one... the database doesn't list a 4:06 version currently.

There never was a (4:06) version listed in the database or old book for that matter. I previously had every version listed as an LP version and that is not true as the dj 45 which I have and previously assumed was the same as the commercial 45 is not the same as the commercial 45. The commercial 45 is the same as the LP version so no designation is needed.

the db still needs to be updated as the promo 45 lists a
run time of 3:58 but actually runs 4:06...this s/b added to
the db.....
