The label for the U.S. Columbia 45 states the time as 4:40, but I timed the song to 4:49.
I don't have access to the database, so sorry if this has already been noted.

That is correct Grant. The 45 version is just has an earlier fade than the LP. The LP version runs 5:03.

my commercial 45 issued as columbia 04679 does not state a version on the label but does list a run time of 4:40 but actually runs 4:49

Was there a pitch difference on the 45? I just watched the video on YouTube, and the song is pitched up by about 3%, which is quite drastic. I only bring it up because if you pitch up the album version by 3% and fade it in the same place as the video, it times out to 4:48--almost the same length as the single.
It was probably something they did for the video only, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I think it was an artifact of the video, much like the chipmunk-like "Blue Jean" from David Bowie.
The versions I have on CD run 128.8 BPM (Night Beat, Sounds Of The Eighties - The Mid '80s Take Two) or 128.9 BPM (The A List), and I'm pretty sure the 45 ran about that speed. The 12" single ran 127.6 BPM. Nothing even close to a difference of 3%.

Still looking for the 12" extended version on CD. I have a Hot Tracks remix service version but not the commercial release.

I now have the extended version on CD. It's on the 2012 Japanese Blu-Spe CD of Chinese Wall as a bonus track. Not cheap to buy unfortunately.
It runs 6:20

My stock 12" single (Columbia 44-05160), has a listed time of (6:18),
although I'm sure Indy's (6:20) actual time is correct. This version is the
"Extended Dance Remix". And since Indy said this version on import CD is
quite pricey, as an alternative for anyone interested, I do currently see
multiple copies of this vinyl 12" single, available for as low as $4.

Hello Jim! I was on the hunt for the Japan blu spec CD which
features the extended dance remix but was fearful it would have
been mastered with heavy dynamic range compression as is the
style, so I held off. I then found that reissue is available on iTunes
so bought that bonus track. Indeed, it sounds pretty bad to my
ears, unpleasant, it's all cranked up, so if anybody was thinking of
getting this Philip Bailey reissue CD and do not like DRC, I advice
them to stay away. Too bad, I would have loved a digital and
dynamic mastering of this one.
