Does anyone know if the stereo LP version of Charles Wright and the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band's "Do Your Thing" can successfully be edited down to match the mono 45 version (minus the mono/stereo differences), or does the mono 45 have vocals or instruments unique to its own mix?

My commercial 45, which is mono, and confirmed as WB 7250, has both a listed & actual time of (2:50), and ends cold. But both of the mono, specified "45 version" database CDs have an exact run time of (2:54). Todd, I will also make sure you soon have a dub of my 45, to compare against the stereo, "LP Version" database CD version, to assist you in finally answering your long-ago-asked question.

guys, another song that ends cold with a different timing on the 45 than the mono "45 version" in the database. Todd, maybe you will be able to tell if there is a speed difference when you get Jim's 45 dub. Do you have one of the mono CD versions to compare? If not, lemme know.

I timed my 45 matrix number L-16716-1c 3/17/69 Warner Brothers 7250 (mono) and I get a time of (2:52). When I compare this version to the JCI cd that runs (2:54) the :02 timing difference is due to the cd running :02 slower.

Any update on this? (I just realized I only have the LP version of "Do Your Thing.")

Thanks, Ed! 45 edit definitely faster than the full LP version.
