This one's been bugging me. In the 1971 mono/stereo thread, it says that "An Old Fashioned Love Song" was issued in both stereo and mono on the stock 45. I dug through all the Three Dog Night threads, as well as the 1971 thread, and I can't find anyone who says that they own a copy that plays in mono. The copy I have in front of me does not say "stereo," but it definitely plays stereo.
Does anyone own a copy of this 45 that actually plays mono?

I have a promo copy that has mono & stereo sides, and they are indeed mono & stereo. I don't own a stock copy, so I don't know about it.

My commercial copy is stereo too. Hate to say it, but I'd
never paid any attention to it before.

My Columbia Terre Haute-pressed stock copy also plays stereo on the "A" side (the "A" type size is huge on this one.) Deadwax is 01533S; the printed label matrix omits the "S".
"Jam" on the B-side does play mono, however.

John, my findings agree with yours. A-side is stereo, while the B-side is
mono.
