At the present time, all three database CD appearances of Reg Owen and His Orchestra's "Manhattan Spiritual" are in stereo and have a "slightly remixed" comment. I've just learned there's a Reg Owen import CD issued on the Jasmine label called Obsession - Two Stereo Albums + Bonus Singles. As the title suggests, this disc is comprised of two of Reg Owen's stereo LP releases: Cuddle up a Little Closer and Coffee Break (I love the retro artwork on these album covers, by the way!).

According to my research, "Manhattan Spiritual" did not appear on either of the original vinyl LP releases of the aforementioned titles, so evidently the song was included as a bonus track on the Obsession import CD. I decided to download an mp3 of the track from the Obession disc on Amazon and it is identical to the "slightly remixed" stereo version on my copy of the three database CDs. So does anyone know where and when this stereo mix first surfaced and if the mono 45 mix is available anywhere on CD?

I have this in mono, but I can't recall what CD I got it
from. It's not a gray market CD, though -- it's legit.
Might have been an import, but I'm not sure.

We can thank the wonderful folks at Ace for "Manhattan Spiritual" in mono
on CD. It is on "Teen Beat Volume 2 Another 30 Great Rockin'
Instrumentals". It is quite different sounding from the stereo mixes (rougher,
or something to that effect).

Todd, there seems to have been a stereo pressing of a Manhattan Spiritual album (seen here) but I don't know if it's an original pressing or some kind of reissue.
