pat

the 4:44 versions are the same as the 45 & lp version.....i just compared the 4:44 version from the "super hits" cd and the 45 version and they are identical...........the 4:42 versions are faded in 0:02 later thus will be 0:02 shorter in length.....this should be noted in the db....

I'm hearing some kind of distortion on the opening piano hit at the (:02) mark on this song. Could this be why some of the CD versions omit the opening 2 seconds? Anybody else hear this?

I noticed that there's a definite bonk that starts
the fade-in on Rock On 1986 Mad About You (1998).
To my ears, it sounds like "All Cried Out" was run
together with the song before it, and the bonk is
leftover from the song before it. (Was it this way on
the Lisa Lisa album? Or, as the singles billed them,
"Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full Force featuring Paul
Anthony and Bow Legged Lou".)

The volume is way down around -30 dB, so unless you were
looking for it, you'd never hear it.

There's a non-bonk version with a longer fade-in
on Time-Life's 2-CD Heart Rock (1988), just like
Paul described. This CD has lots of early fades, but
"All Cried Out" is OK here.
