my cassingle issued as capitol 44449 is identical to the version from "twice shy" and runs 4:50..........is the 45 a different version than the cassingle???

your entry in the database would lead me to beleive it is.........unless your referencing the dj/promo 45 which might be different.........anyone..........lmk

i just listened to MY 45 capitol 44449 and the song runs 4:50 and it too is identical to the version from "twice shy"..........BUT........the 45 does state the run time on it's face as 3:57 which is incorrect.......another example of record company executes/employees being sloppy.........anyone???

I have a DJ CD single copy of Great White's "The Angel Song" on Capitol DPRO 79753. The track listing and actual run times are as follows:

1) 7" VERSION - 3:41
2) LP VERSION - 4:52

It's interesting how the edit running 3:41 is listed as the 7" version, yet the LP version is evidentally what appears on the actual commercial 45 release. Has anyone come across a 45 copy that runs 3:41?

Pat:

The database currently does not list any information regarding DJ CD single copies of "The Angel Song". You may want to add it.

my commercial 45 issued as capitol 44449 states on the label a run time of 3:57 but actually runs 4:51..... my commercial cassingle which has no stated version or run time runs the same as the vinyl 45 (4:51)......the promo cd single has an edit which is incorrectly listed as the 7" version but is NOT the version on the vinyl 45 that i have with the notations (B-1-44449-Z2) in the run-out groove......the version on the promo cd single runs 3:41......does anyone else have this commercial 45 with a different run time or inscription in the run-out groove?....is it possible that there are 2 different vinyl 45's issued for this song?

Interesting that the cassette single has a second "bonus" B-side, but they used the same catalog number as the 45 (which I assume has only one B-side).

Does anybody have the edit points for the 3:41 promo edit?

It's only taken me three years to confirm that it is NOT possible to edit the album version to match the DJ single... there is a guitar which is removed from the edit at the edit point so that the cut is not as jarring.

(Thank you to Chuck who provided me the opportunity to confirm this. He wasn't late with providing me with what I needed; I was late using what he provided.)
