so everyone knows.........the 45 "highway song" issued in 1979 as atco 7104 is just and early fade to 3:59 of the versions that run 4:26 in the database.........

My promo 45 has listed times exactly like Pat's current database notation, (3:59) and (6:00), with the (6:00) "long version" also being an edited v! The actual times, however, are (4:02) and (6:07).

I finally acquired a commercial 45 of this song, confirmed as Atco 7104, with
handwritten deadwax of "ST-79C37129-7 SP". Unlike the (4:02) actual short
version length for my promo 45, as noted above, my commercial copy
matches Ed's initial report above: both a listed and actual time of (3:59).
