Pat:
Here's another tidbit of info you may want to incorporate into the database. The actual commercial 45 run time of Neil Sedaka's "The Immigrant" is 3:51, not 3:43 as stated on the record label.

since the actual 45 time is a good 6 seconds longer than the two CD
appearances, does anyone know if the 45 is an edit of the LP version, i.e.,
can the 45 be created from the LP version?

David, I created the 45 version of "The Immigrant" years ago by editing the LP version, so yes, it can be done.

Aaron's right. Just delete from roughly 3:13.7 to 3:45.5 (on the word "there".)
If you want to truly replicate the 45 version, you'll need to shave off the bottom end; the vinyl LP version has noticeably more basso profundo than either the 45 or Neil's vocal range. :)

database needs updating for this track as not being on CD in its 45 version,
as the existing version is 6 seconds short (being twice the 3 second rule). Is
it simply the 45 faded early?
