I'm curious if anybody has the single or promo of 'Til Tuesday's "Coming Up Close."
The labels (listed in Discogs) consistently list a running time of 4:08, yet all the videos on YouTube have times of about 4:40 which matches the versions I own on CD.
All single / promo labels say "taken from the Epic LP "Welcome Home," which could suggest it's the album version.
Does anybody know if the label is a misprint and all versions actually run closer to 4:40... or, if there IS a shorter 4:08 version, can you tell me if it's an early fade, an edit, or a remix?
Wikipedia says "Coming Up Close" made it to #59 on the U.S. Hot 100 and #39 on the U.S. Rock Tracks.

OK, thanks to Chuck I've been able to compare my (album?) version to his single version:
The mix is 100% identical. I can't hear a single note, instrument, or bit of reverb that's different. In fact, except for a minor speed difference (the single is a hair faster than my version), his file and my file are almost bit-for-bit identical... it's a little creepy when I sync them up. :) I'm assuming identical analog sources, but perhaps different transfers?
My source is Rock Of The 80s volume 15, Priority Records, Inc. P2 53754 (1994).
The difference? The "Don't Touch My 45s" version is slightly less dynamic (although not clipped, just maybe a half a db denser), and fades at about 3:58 for about 12 seconds, giving a final length of about 4:10.
Thanks for the help... and I hope this helps someone else, down the road! (I really like this song, and don't remember hearing it when it was first out.)
