I don't see any notation in the database. What's the difference between the
LP & 45 Version?

It's a mix difference. The "hit" mix is the only one I
ever heard on the radio. I thought it was the only one
that existed, until I played a copy of the full-length CD
and was truly surprised to hear a completely different mix
on the album!

Yes, the mix is quite different. It's kind of "unpolished" compared to the hit mix...almost like it was a demo version or something.

Besides the 45 version being a much hotter mix, an easy way to tell if you
are listening to the 45 vs the LP version can we heard right in the chorus..
On the Album version, when they sing the chorus "All I want is to feel this
way"..... When he sings "feel this way" he sings it in in a lower octave vs. the
45 mix, in which he sings "feels this way" in a higher octave.

Yes! I just compared the mix on GoldDisc 993N [No notation given] to the
LP and the mix on the TMDisc is drastically different. Took me 18 years
to realize this, as it is one my personal favorites from that time.

Prisdeej,
One of my favorites as well and I remember being annoyed that the version
on the LP was not the same as the one that I heard on the radio (that song
being half the reason why I bought the Album - "Walk On The Ocean"
obviously being the other half). I didn't pick up the CD single to many years
later.

Fetta,
I agree wholeheartedly. Their were many instances when I purchased an
LP and being ridden with disappointment when the on-air cut was
different. I felt cheated, as I wasted my hard earned money. The same
went for commercial singles, rarely did I get the versions/edits I was
looking for. That's why I was so fascinated with radio. They seemed to
have an 'in' that us regulars didn't.

And I'm sure you felt even more cheated when you found out that this one is different from the radio version, too!
